This is long overdue but wanted to send this note of appreciation for the work your company provided for us in 2011. Last February, we contacted Midtown for ''just an estimate'' of what it would cost to remodel our basement. We really thought we would need to obtain a couple more bids as well and I would need a lot of convincing of my husband to agree to go forth with this project.
Tom Levinson spent several hours with us, measuring, developing a plan, and discussing with us the benefits of going with Midtown for our basement remodel project. We were very pleased with what he stated your company had to offer us, including the quality of work and the price for the project. So much that we agreed and signed the contract on that first visit.
Tom and everyone we came in contact with at Midtown were very professional. Katie Reese was great as well! She was always available when we had a question. Being that said we didn't have to contact her or Tom very much during the project because of the pre-planning they had done. Again, very thorough and great ideas.
Most of all, we want to recognize Pat. He was the one who did all the labor during this project. He was always very professional and honest. I felt at ease with him immediately and trusted him with a key to our house so he could do his work while we were not at home. Pat performed the work very efficiently and always kept the work site very clean. Unbelievable, even with the dry walling! Pat is the main reason we decided to go with Midtown again, but this time for our Kitchen remodeling project. We told Tom, we would only agree to this if Pat was our guy! In addition though, without Tom's insight, experience, and professionalism, Midtown would not have our business for a second time and so soon after our first project. Tom came through again with ''out of the box'' ideas for my kitchen, even working with me to get what I want in my small kitchen recycle trash can behind a cabinet door.
Thanks Midtown. We love our basement and can't wait to see our new kitchen!

Your company and operations are well organized, efficient and dependable. Your people whom I had contact with and worked with all were very courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Your personnel, workmanship and quality of the work done are first class.
From the time Tom Levinson, your home representative, came to my house to discuss my kitchen renovation to the end of the project, I was very impressed and completely satisfied. You hear so many horror stories of home improvement companies and I was a little apprehensive at first about starting a remodel project but so glad I chose Midtown for my kitchen remodel.
Tom explained the project thoroughly and in great detail so I understood and knew exactly what to expect during the renovation. He always returned all my calls no matter what time of day or evening I called. He truly went out of his way to be so helpful and solve any problems or answer any questions I had during the kitchen remodel.
Your project coordinator, Katie Reese, also did an outstanding job in coordinating the work schedule to make sure the project stayed on schedule and keeping me updated.
Katie was also helpful with providing ideas and returning all my calls.
Doug did an outstanding job throughout the project. He is so knowledgeable and experienced of all aspects of home improvement. His skills of carpentry, plumbing and electricity are outstanding. You can tell Doug takes pride in his work and it reflects in the craftsmanship of his work and in my newly remodeled kitchen. Doug was not only fast and efficient and cleaned all debris at day's end but was always courteous and answered all my questions. He is dependable and continually kept me updated at all times as to the work schedule and when he would arrive on the project.
When I just decided to have my kitchen renovated, I had looked into different options from re-facing the old cabinets offered by one of the local home improvement stores to an estimate for a kitchen update from a walk-in Kitchen and Bath Showroom.
To reface old cabinets combined with a new granite countertop was just about $5,000 less then Midtown's quote. Since home improvement stores do not do any plumbing or electrical work, l would have had to incur those additional expenses. Midtown's quote included all my plumbing and electrical changes and updates. Granted there is not all the mess of having a complete kitchen renovation but the end results are truly striking. There is no comparison with beautiful newly installed top quality cabinets and workmanship done by Midtown.
l had also inquired about a kitchen update from one of the local Kitchen and Bath Showroom stores. They have nice showplaces but are also very pricy. The showroom store I got an estimate from, which did not include some of the electrical work I wanted updated, was still $10,000 more than Midtown's quote. Also I did not like the idea of having different crews coming into my home to do the work plus I checked the background on some of their work and found it to be unreliable and substandard.
I have nothing but raved about my new kitchen and the top quality work done by Midtown. I have and will continue to recommend your company to neighbors and friends and without saying, my next home project I will definitely be using Midtown Home Improvements.

Our first contact was with Rob Winchester and Tom Levinson who came to our house and explained what services were available through Midtown. They brought samples of materials and pictures of finished bathrooms. They made suggestions as to where we could go to view in person and see first hand what the various items would look like.
Two other people who helped us are Katie Reese and Reggie Purnell. They are not only helpful but were also excellent in being sure that supplies and materials were on-site or in route for a particular stage of the upgrade. They made several trips to check on progress.

We recently completed our fifth purchase of your vinyl replacement windows.
Each time, we are reminded why we continue to purchase from Midtown Home Improvements. The house becomes a little quieter from street traffic, and stays cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Now, the sun no longer glares into our east and west-facing rooms.
The work crew was friendly and took great care not to track mud and debris into our home. They didn't rush through the job and cleaned up after they finished, in other words, excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.
We are finished replacing our windows. When the next hailstorm hits, which could be anytime soon, we will definitely compare Midtown Home Improvement with other roofing companies.

Kitchen Remodel

I am writing this letter to thank you for a job well done on our new deck.  I have always loved sitting outside enjoying the backyard on a nice evening, and now I can enjoy it even more from the vantage of our beautiful new deck!  I would like to share my satisfaction with potential customers. I had been thinking about replacing my old deck for while, but it became a priority when my baby daughter was born. The old deck was a safety hazard, a second story deck with spaces where a small child could fall through. The paint wouldn’t stick anymore and large splinters were always a possibility.  The deck from Midtown is maintenance free, and most importantly is safe for my daughter. The deck comes with a gate that can be locked and the deck doesn’t have any spaces where a small child could fit through the railings.  While safety is my priority, aesthetics is also important. The decking is colored beautifully and has a nice wood grain pattern. I was particularly impressed with how the decking was used on the stairs as well. One concern that I had before purchasing the deck was that it would be slippery when wet. Slipping has not been a problem, the material provides good traction in the rain.

 I have received many compliments on the new deck and I could not be happier.  I took a leap of faith when I purchased the deck because I did not shop around or receive multiple bids. Midtown was the first company I contacted and after Robert Workman showed me the product I was convinced that I couldn’t find anything better. Not only was I satisfied with the deck itself, the Midtown staff was professional and pleasant. The construction team even worked in below freezing temperatures this January.  Thank you to Midtown, I look forward to using the deck for years to come.
